All my Lego memories condensed in one set
This is for me probably the most iconic technic set of the 1980 era. Simply put, it was, and still, is awesome. I could not remember a set that was so :
-Big
-Well detailed
-Full of technic functionalities
The gearbox is functional with 2 (or 3 speeds), the steering mechanism is nice (not in a straight line like most of other sets), the 4 cylinders flat engine is perfectly detailed with nice touches like the exhausts valves, tubes, and a rotating cooling fan.
Even the seats can be arranged like needed with a clever system of rack and pinion.
This is the sets that made me know how a car is built in real live. An absolute must have for all technic enthusiasts.
